Web Browser isn’t Recommended on Roku
Roku’s original purpose is to stream the channels not to surf the internet. You can use web browsers by mirroring the screen using an Android phone and Windows PC. But we don’t recommend using it as you have to use the remote to control the Roku device. You will have to use an on-screen keyboard to search through the websites. You will have to navigate using the buttons on the remote which is quite hectic and annoying for the users.
As Roku uses Miracast, you can not cast the screen using an iPhone. To mirror cast the iPhone to your Roku you will have to use a third-party app.
Screen mirroring reduces the battery life of the device and also requires an Android phone or a Windows PC. While screencasting pairing issues and lagging issues may occur.
