Roku company officially says that it does not have any cache as it also has no web browser. To download more apps or improve the device performance, you may need to clear those files. In this article, we will guide you through easy steps on how to clear the cache from the Roku.

How to clear the Cache on Roku?

As we said that Roku does not have any cache but sometimes due to some apps it can catch some of these files. Here are the two ways to delete these files to improve the performance and fix the streaming issues.

Restart the Roku Device

Step 1

Switch on the Roku device and go to the home button from the remote.

Go to the Settings.

Step 3

Select System from the settings.

Step 4

Choose system restart from the system settings.

Step 5

Select Restart.

Now the device will switch off closing all the apps and processes and after some time it will restart with better performance. You can also restart the device by pressing the following buttons:

  • Home button for 5 times
  • Up button
  • Rewind button for 2 times
  • Fast Forward for 2 times
